three sources of scholarships for incoming international students:

(1)Japanese Government(Monbukagakusho)Scholarship
Those who receive this scholarship have the status “Japanese Government(Monbukagakusho) Scholarship Students”. There are four types of Japanese government-sponsored scholarships supported by Kochi University, as shown below:

(2)Japan Student Services Association Scholarship(JASSO)
The “Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students” is for international students with outstanding scholastic and personal quality who are experiencing financial difficulty.
The “Student Exchange Support Program(Scholarship for Short-Term Study in Japan)” is for international students from partner universities who come to study at Kochi University for a short term(between three months and a year).
